Mixed Media

I work intuitively, mixing colors and letting the experience guide me. Using a layering process of paint, pencil, and pastel, I see where the painting takes me as the process reveals what to capture and bring forth or what to remake. Through layering and mark-making, features naturally become more textured and complex and begin to tell a story.
